John D. Gherardini, Jr. 74, of Annville, formerly of Hershey, passed away on May 6, 2013 in the Easton Health & Rehabilitation Center in Easton. He was born May 4, 1939 in Hershey, a son of the late John D., Sr. and Mary (Ovecka) Gherardini. John was a graduate of Hershey High School class of "57" and Temple University. He was a self employed pharmacist operating as John's Pharmacy, and retired from the Eckerd Drug Co. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Annville and the Hershey Areba Club. John also served in thr Air National Guard and was an avid hunter & fisherman..

John is survived by; wife, Marilyn (Zimmerman) Gherardini; sons, Steve and John Gherardini III of Harrisburg; sister, Theresa Houck of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Emily, Andy, and Sam Gherardini, step-sons, Greg, Jeff, and Doug Speece, step-grandchildren, Zach, Graham, Alex, Sophia, Jaxon, Daenna, and Christian, special cousin, Lona Parker, special niece, Jovanna Roh, God-daughter, Stacey Houck, and other cousins. He was preceded in death by a step-granddaughter, Jordyn Speece.

A visitation will be held Monday, May13, 2013 in his church at 125 South Spruce Street in Annville at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Suite #205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
